La Tour Eiffel.

americanblogger:

I joined a few friends at their hotel on their rooftop patio for a wine and cheese soiree. Afterwards we decided that jet lag would not get the best of us and so, with a bottle of wine in my bag, we took an excursion to see the Eiffel Tower. All of us were exhausted beyond comprehension, but the trip was well worth it. With the help of a friendly Parisian, we made it to our destination, passing the bottle of wine around on the train while we waited our arrival.

I have never before been in such awe as I was the moment I ascended the stairs from the Metro and saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time.

After taking a slew of pictures, and scrambling to find the bathroom. (Ou est le toilette?!) We decided to head back towards our hotels and grab a drink before we went to sleep.

We failed miserably at navigating our way back the same way from which we had arrived, our return trip took twice as long as it should have, but we finally made it, grabbed a couple glasses of 1664 and then went out separate ways.

It’s only been one night. I can’t wait to see what else this city has to offer.

I feel bad for the kids who decided to stay in tonight. When the Eiffel Tower exploded in lights… well I hadn’t felt that happy in a long while.
